Church at Home / Praying Together

One of the key ways we can continue to support each other and the community is to pray - individually, together and with the wider church community. We're looking into ways of using technology to help you 'meet' together to pray and will add further information to the website as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we will add information on collective prayer events that you are invited to participate in, and some prayer resources from other organisations - see below for further details.

Prayer Chain - if you are not part of our 'prayer chain' and would like to be, please use the contact pages to get in touch (or contact Hilary directly).

The Blessing

Some of you may have heard about this song, which has made quite an impact across the world. A number of people are including it as part of their daily prayer time, so please see the link (left) for one of many versions available...

A couple of alternative versions are linked below.

This is a global prayer initiative uniting churches, pastors, leaders and individuals across the globe to pray daily at 7:14am and 7:14pm. Wherever you are at those moments, we’re encouraging you to take a moment and pray with us and believers all over the world.

In particular, the focus is to see COVID-19 halted, lives healed, hardships mitigated, people come to Christ, and an outpouring of God’s Spirit.

"If my people who are call by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sins and heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14

There are weekly prayers posted on the website - see this link:

Many people have been impacted by praying at difficult times in their lives.

The trypraying scheme is for those who are not religious and don't do church.

The trypraying booklet is a 7-day prayer guide, specifically written for those who are not religious and is available for free; there's also a free app.
